A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, GRANTING
APPROVAL TO SUBMIT APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE
GOVERNOR FOR THE FY2020 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY
PROGRAM (SHSP) GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, City Council finds it is in the best interest of
the citizens of the City of Euless that the State Homeland Security Grant Program Night
Vision for Swift Water Boat Teams be requested for the 2020 grant year, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless and Tarrant County find that vulnerability to many
potential hazards is shared by residents of the City of Euless and the unincorporated
portions of Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the
Office of the Governor funds, the City of Euless assures that the funds will be returned to
the Office of the Governor in full; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless designates Mayor Linda Martin as the grantee's
authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject,
alter, or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas, that the City Council approves submission of the grant application for the State
Homeland Security Program Grant Night Vision for Swift Water Boat Teams to the Office
of the Governor.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
May 12, 2020, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
