A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, DESIGNATING
THE POLICE CHIEF AS THE AUTHORIZED GRANT OFFICIAL TO
APPLY FOR, ACCEPT, REJECT, ALTER OR TERMINATE THE CV-
CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING GRANT
FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR
THE SUPPORT OF ACTIVITIES TO PREVENT, PREPARE FOR, AND
RESPOND TO THE CORONAVIRUS.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, City Council finds it in the best interest of
the citizens of Euless, that the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Program be
operated; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, City Council agrees to provide proper
stewardship of funds for the said project as required by the CV-Coronavirus Emergency
Supplemental Funding Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, City Council agrees that in the event of loss
or misuse of the Office of the Governor funds, Euless assures that the funds will be
returned to the Office of the Governor in full; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, City Council designates the City of Euless
Police Chief as the authorized grant official. The authorized official is given the power to
apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EULESS,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council designates the Euless Police Chief to submit an application to
apply for, reject, alter, or terminate to the Texas Office of the Governor in accordance with
the terms and conditions thereof for the CV-Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental
Funding Program (Grant Number 4156301) and accept funds for the program.
SECTION 2.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas, on June 23, 2020, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.
