Regular Meeting
Board of Aldermen
July 5, 1954
The Board of Aldermen of the Village of
Euless met in regular session on July 5, 1954, at 7:00 p.m. Present were
Mayor Umphress and a I I members of the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting on May
3, 1954, were read and unanimously approved.
Since the Village has been without water
temporarily on two occasions recently, and in view of the fact that this
inconvenience apparently could have been avoided had proper warning been
given before the supply in storage was exhausted, the Board discussed the
matter at length in an effort to find a solution to the problem. Then, on
motion by M. L. Anders and second by J. S. Anderson, Mayor Umphress was
authorized, by unanimous vote, to write Mr. Wisenbaker a letter requesting
that he install proper gauges and warning system on the storage tank in
order that ample time may be allowed for any needed repairs to the water
system before the supply in storage is exhausted, thus insuring an
adequate supply at all times as is specified in the Village franchise.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
