GALA COMMITTEE MEETING
MEETING OF FEBRUARY 6, 2020

The Banquet Committee of the Teen Court Advisory Board of the cities of Hurst, Euless and
Bedford, Texas met at 5000 p.m. at Bedford City Hall, Upstairs Conference Room, on the 6th day
A February 6, 2020, with the following members present.
HURST: Lorrie Dickerson
EULESS: Robin Edwards
BEDFORD: Kathleen Toms
HEB Teen Court Coordinator — Mindy Eichorst
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Kathleen Toms called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. with three Board Members
present.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review and discuss Annual Teen Court Scholarship Gala Information.
Teen Court Coordinator Mindy Eichorst presented a list of menu options for the meal for the Gala.
Options will be a buffet -style meal instead of a plated meal. The Committee originally decided on half
pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans and half of green chili chicken with black beans or
wild rice pilaf and mixed veggies but it would have been a plated meal and wanted to see what options
were available as a buffet meal. The Texas Star was able to provide some buffet -style options and Ms.
Eichorst presented the options to the Committee. Kathleen Toms mentioned the Taco Fiesta Buffet or
the Fajita Buffet. She asked if Texas Star would possibly be able to bring the cost down on the Fajita
Buffet. Ms. Eichorst said she could reach out to them and ask about the cost.
Ms. Eichorst asked Lorrie Dickerson if she would be able to net a short biography and picture from the
speaker by the next Advisory Board Meeting. Ms. Eichorst also mentioned that she checked with the
Special Events Department about setting up an EventBrite page (City of Bedford's account). This will
allow anyone to purchase individual tickets or a sponsorship online. She will be checking with the
Finance Department as to which account the money gets distributed.
The Gala Committee decided to meet on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in the upstairs
conference room.
