Called Meeting
Board of Aldermen
August 16, 1954
The Board of Aldermen of the Village of
Euless met in a special called session on August 16, 1954, at 8:00 p.m.
Present were Mayor Umphress, and Aldermen Tillery, Millican, Fuller, and
Anderson.
The building committee from the Euless
Volunteer Firemen met with the Board. Present from this committee were
B i l l y Lee Byers, W. 0. Murray, L. W. Morelock, and A. T. Sellers.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss
a feasible design and plan for a joint building for a fire house and Community
Center. There was a prevailing spirit of cooperation at this meeting of the
two groups and progress was made in the type of construction, in that it was
decided that the front should be of faced b r i c k . A l l other details were
deferred for future consideration after further information is obtained.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
