of the
Euless City Council
August 29, 1968
CALL TO ORDER

Mayor W. G. Fuller called the meeting to order
at 5:50 P.M., in the Council Chanters. of Euless City Hall, with the following
Councilmen present: Messrs. Harold Samuels, Dan Shull, Frank Douglass and Bi 11
Byers. (Absent: Counci Iman Don R. Warren)
Also present were City Manager C. J. Griggs,
City Attorney James Cribbs and Recording Secretary Florence Murr.
VISITORS
Visitors in attendance are listed as follows:
Mrs. Betty Potthoff, representing Mid - Cities Daily News, and Mr. Curtis McCaffity.
RESOLUTION CALLING AN ELECTION FOR
SALE OF CERTAIN WATER AND SEWER
PROPERTIES
Mayor Fuller stated that the purpose of this
meeting is to set a date for an election to be held in the City of Euless, for con-
sideration of the sale of the Bedford portion of the Water and Sewer Systems to the
City of Bedford. Mayor Fuller advised that the suggested date for said election is
September 14, 1968,
City Attorney James Cribbs presented Reeolution
No. 218, calling and making provision for an election to be held within the City of
Euless on the fourteenth day of September, 1968, at which election the following
proposition shall be submitted to qualified voters of the City:
"SHALL the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, be
authorized to sell and convey to the City of Bedford, Texas,
that portion of the Euless Water and Sewer System (located
within the corporation limits of Bedford) which is not re-
quired in any manner for the rendition of efficient services
to the ihhabitants of Euless and to apply as promptly as
possible all proceeds of such sale to the payment or redemp-
tion of as many revenue bonds issued by Euless for the
purchase and acquisition of the entire system as the amount
of such proceeds will permit ?"
Councilman Douglass made the motion to approve
Resolution No, 218 as presented. Councilman Shull seconded the motion, and the
vote i s as follows:

Ayes: Councilmen Douglass, Shull, Byers and Samuels
Nays: None
Mayor Fuller declared the motion carried.

REQUEST RJR PERMISSION 10
INCREASE THE FEE FOR GARBAGE
SERVICE., MR. CURTIS MCCAFFITY
Mayor Fuller recognized Mr. Custis McCaffity,
who stated that he desires the Council's consideration of his request for an in-
crease in the fee for garbage collection services in the City of Euless.
After considerable discussion, Mr. McCaffity
was informed t h a t h i s request' fo r f i f t y cents (50) per month additional fee fo r
residences and ten percent (10%) on commercial customers would be taken up again
at the next regular meeting on September 10, 1968.
