HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954-08-2351 Called Meeting Board of Aldermen August 23, 1954 The Board of Aldermen of the Village of Euless met in special called session August 23, 1954. Present were Mayor Umphress and Alderment T i l l e r y , Milli can, Fuller, and Anderson. The purpose of the meeting was to explore the water situation in Bell Ranch Terrace Addition in an effort to find a solution to the problem of getting water into the addition in compliance with the franchise now in force in the Village. Since this problem involves the developer of the addition and the water company, as well as the Village, Mr. T. H. Parham, along with his attorney, Mr. L. F. Hall, and Mr. 0. C. Dobkins, representing Mr. Wisenbaker, met with the Board. Since financing the project concerns only the developer and Mr. Wisenbaker, no definite action could be taken; however, Mr. Parham indicated his intentions of getting with Mr. Wisenbaker in the near future in an effort to arrance a.contract suitable to all concerned. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. /s/ J. S. Anderson Secretary /s/ Joe Umphress Mayor In general discussion one main fact was established and agreed upon as follows: all lines must be laid in compliance with the franchise now in force regardless of the time element. In complaince with this, a plat showing lines of necessary size, fire plugs, etc., as proposed by Mr. Wisenbaker, was presented by Mr. Dobkins, along with cost figures for consideration of Mr. Parham.
