Called Meeting
of the
Euless City Council
July 19, 1969
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro Tem Frank Douglass called
the meeting to order in the Euless City Hall Council Chambers at 1 :00 P. M.
with the following present: Councilmen Don Warren, Dwayne Wilcox and Harold
Copher.
(Absent were Mayor Krause and Councilman
Dan Shull.)
Also present were City Manager C. J.
Griggs, City Attorney James Cribbs and City Secretary Vada Ferris.
ORDINANCE NO. 358
RESTRICTING USE OF WATER
City Attorney James Cribbs presented and
discussed Ordinance No. 358, imposing certain restrictions on the use of
water i n the City of Euless.
Members of the Council discussed the
ordinance and agreed that a warning ticket should be issued to violators
of the Ordinance.
It was agreed by a I I members present that
the Mayor may, without council action, declare by proclamation, a total and
complete p r o h i b i t i o n of a l l outside water usage if deemed necessary.
Councilman Wilcox made the motion to waive
the rule requiring the reading of an ordinance on two separate occasions and
approve Ordinance No. 358 on first and final reading.
Councilman Warren seconded the motion, and
the vote i s as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Wilcox, Warren, Copher and Douglass
Nays: None
Mayor Pro Tem Douglass declared the motion carried.
