NOVEMBER 12, 2020
ITEM NO. 1 CALL TO ORDER
A Special Called meeting of the Euless City Council was called to order by Mayor Linda
Martin at 3:02 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020, in the Precouncil Conference Room
in City Hall, 201 N. Ector Drive, Euless, Texas. Those present included Mayor Linda
Martin, Mayor Pro Tern Jeremy Tompkins, and Council Member Harry Zimmer.
Pursuant to Section 67.004 of the Texas Election Code, two members of the City Council
constitute a quorum for purposes of canvassing an election.

ITEM NO. 2 CANVASSED THE RETURNS AND DECLARED THE RESULTS
OF THE NOVEMBER 3, 2020 CITY COUNCIL GENERAL
ELECTION
City Secretary Kim Sutter presented the results of the November 3, 2020 City Council
General Election:
TOTAL PERCENTAGE
Mayor Linda Martin 15,720 75.95%
Tupou Helu Uhatafe 4,978 24.05%
Place 2 Jeremy Tompkins 16,284 100%
Place 4 Mubasher Warraich 7,273 38.60%
Perry Bynum 11,569 61.40%
TOTAL BALLOTS CAST: 24,182 (70.69% voter turnout)
Mayor Pro Tern Tompkins motioned to canvass the returns and declare the results of the
November 3, 2020 City Council General Election as presented.
Council Member Zimmer seconded the motion.
Ayes: Mayor Martin, Mayor Pro Tern Tompkins, and Council Member Zimmer

Nays: None
Mayor Martin declared the motion carried.
ITEM NO. 3 CANVASSED THE RETURNS AND DECLARED THE RESULTS
OF THE NOVEMBER 3, 2020 SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
City Secretary Kim Sutter presented the results of the November 3, 2020 Special
Municipal Election:
Proposition B
"Employers with more than 200 Employees in the city of Euless shall provide their
Employees with a written Work Schedule no later than 10 days before the first day of any
new schedule. An Employee may decline, without penalty, to work any hours or additional
shifts not included in the Posted Week Schedule. In an Emergency, an Employer may
require an Employee to work additional hours or shifts not included in the Posted Work
Schedule without obtaining their consent; these additional hours or shifts shall be paid at a
rate three times that of the regular hourly rate of pay. If an Employer reduces an
Employee's hours from what is included in the Posted Work Schedule, Employee shall be
paid for one-half of the total hours reduced at the Employee's regular hourly rate. The
Employer must keep records and file reports with the City when it utilizes the Emergency
overtime option. Retaliation against employees who exercise their rights under this
ordinance is prohibited."

AGAINST 5,833 26.93%
TOTAL BALLOTS CAST: 24,182 (70.69% voter turnout)
Council Member Zimmer motioned to canvass the returns and declare the results of the
November 3, 2020 Special Municipal Election related to an initiative petition for an
Ordinance related to "Fair Overtime and Scheduling Standards".
Mayor Pro Tern Tompkins seconded the motion.
Ayes: Mayor Martin, Mayor Pro Tern Tompkins, and Council Member Zimmer
Nays: None
Mayor Martin declared the motion carried.

ITEM NO. 3 A APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 20-1594, CANVASSING THE
RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
NOVEMBER 3, 2020 SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
City Secretary Kim Sutter presented the results of the November 3, 2020 Special
Municipal Election related to the continuation of the Euless Crime Control and Prevention
District:
Proposition A
"Whether the Euless Crime Control and Prevention District should be continued for twenty
(20) years and the Crime Control and Prevention District sales tax should be continued
for twenty (20) years."
TOTAL PERCENTAGE
FOR 17,135 78.40%
AGAINST 4,722 21.60%
TOTAL BALLOTS CAST: 24,182 (70.69% voter turnout)
Mayor Pro Tem Tompkins motioned to approve Resolution No. 20-1594, canvassing the
returns and declaring the results of the November 3, 2020 City Council Special Municipal
Election related to the continuation of the Euless Crime Control and Prevention District.
Council Member Zimmer seconded the motion.
Ayes: Mayor Martin, Mayor Pro Tern Tompkins, and Council Member Zimmer
Nays: None
Mayor Martin declared the motion carried.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:05 p.m.
