A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, DELEGATING
AUTHORITY TO DETERMINE CONTRACTING AND DELIVERY
PROCEDURES FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS TO THE CITY
MANAGER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, has an ongoing goal of seeking the best value for
the expenditure of public monies; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 2267 of the Texas Government Code provides for alternative
delivery methods for awarding contracts for construction projects; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2267.053 of the Texas Government Code, the City
Council is authorized to designate persons to determine which delivery method provides
the best value to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
The City Council hereby delegates the City Manager of the City of Euless the
authority to determine the appropriate method to be utilized in awarding contracts for
construction projects in order to provide the best value for the City.
SECTION 2.
The determination of best value shall be made before advertising notice of the intent
of the City to solicit bids, proposals or qualifications for a construction contract and the
designated method shall be stated in the notice.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be effective upon its passage and it is so ordained.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the
13th day of November 2012, by a vote of 7 ayes, o nays, and o abstentions.
