MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE
LIBRARY BOARD
THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2020
ITEM NO. 1 CALLED TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Euless Public Library Board was called to order by Chairman Snitz at
6:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020, in the Conference Room of the Library, 1100 Westpark
Way. Those present included Chairman Barney Snitz, Vice Chairman Allan Gibbs, and Board
Members Jim Hamilton, and Leslie Kane. Board Members Chris McAllister,Mike McGehee,and
Alternates Mavy Wright and Rochelle Ragas were not present.

ITEM NO. 2 APPROVED LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
Chairman Snitz asked for a motion to accept the minutes with corrections of the regular meeting
held February 6, 2020. The motion was made by Vice Chairman Gibbs and seconded by Board
Member Hamilton.
ITEM NO. 3 WELCOMED VISITORS
Chairman Snitz welcomed all visitors present.
ITEM NO. 4 PRESENTED LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT
v. 3-D Printer
Library Director Sherry Knight introduced Denise Olson, Librarian Assistant for Community
Services to the board. Ms. Olson gave a presentation on the 3-D printer including how it works,
what supplies it needs, how patrons are using it and gave out sample products to the board
members.
Board members asked about the popularity and age of the users.

Ms. Knight gave an update on the progress of the construction of the library and shared photos of
the latest changes at the library.
Board Member Wright inquired about space allocated for items from the historical museum,as the
library had in the past. Ms. Knight stated that there would be two available and suggest rotating
them every quarter.
Vice Chairman Gibbs inquired about the installation timeline for the Bubble Wall. Ms. Knight
stated that it would occur around late May.
v. Classes & Events Update
Ms. Knight gave an overview of current and upcoming programs including"Genre Madness,"and
the "Adult Spelling Bee."
ITEM NO. 5 REPORTS
Library Board Chairman
Chairman Snitz mentioned how fast the time was going and stated his excitement about the new
library.
Library Board Vice-Chairman
Vice Chairman Gibbs told the Board about the wine tasting and invited everyone to join and gave
details about the event. Total Wine and More donated a wine tasting for twenty people to ELF to
help them raise money for the Bubble Wall.

ITEM NO. 6 PUBLIC COMMENTS
LuAnn Portugal of Euless, Texas, discussed City developments and updates on the Glade Parks
planned development.
ITEM NO. 7 ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Snitz asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Vice Chairman Gibbs
and seconded by Board M ber amilton. The meeting was adjourned at 7:44 p.m.
