World Services. The Planning & Zoning Commission acted on the request at their
meeting Tuesday night and case will go before the City Council in August. The
operation will stay the same but the ownership will change. The current owner of the
business and property will still own the property. Change shouldn't affect the shelter.
ITEM 4 - SHELTER STATISTICS REPORT
Statistics split out as requested at last meeting. Feral cats split from other cats as
requested. Euthanasia numbers up slightly compared to last year but appear to be
feral/ wildlife animals as opposed to owner releases. Bites are down, calls for service
are down slightly, and animals released to owners down. Adoptions are up slightly
thanks to the GAP Club. Larry said GAP will sponsor the animals for adoption even if
they don't see the animal.
ITEM 5 — DOG DAZE EVENT REPORT
Attendance was down - probably due to the 2 1/2 inches of rain Euless received from

when she arrived. It probably would have been a busier day had it not rained. People
started showing back up after the rain stopped. Dr. Maas reported that 126 rabies
vaccinations were given, several 1st puppy shots, and 26 heartworm tests and actually
saw more dogs than the 126 by noon when event ended.

for a number of years. She expressed her appreciation for the event.
ITEM 6 — SHELTER FACILITY REPORT
JT reported that the shelter floors were stripped and waxed on June 2nd
Chairman Maas asked if there were any other repairs needed at shelter. Larry not
aware of any except for the gate latch on the outdoor dog exercise area which he will
fix. Chairman Maas mentioned that the sink in the back has started to craze in bottom
which makes porcelain paint look stained, dirty and cracked. JT will report it to Facility
Maintenance.
The A/C & heating are working.
GAP girls have requested a stainless steel wash tub (free standing with ramps) to bathe
the dogs in. Tubs range in price from $2500 to $6500.
