Vice-Chairman Barney Snitz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: The Vice-Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the
minutes of November 1, 2012. Allan Gibbs made the motion to accept the minutes and Beverly Leake
seconded the motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Vice-Chairman Barney Snitz welcomed all of the visitors to the meeting.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Kate Lyon reviewed the library stats for November and December 2012.
We had 51 attend the Flutasia performance, and 24 attended the Joe Nick Patoski book talk "The Dallas
Cowboys."
Masterworks Programs:
Ken Nelson will perform on January 14th at 7:00 p.m.
Beyond Pale, a Celtic group will perform on March 11th at 7:00 p.m.
Alex Harvey, not part of the Masterworks programs, will perform at the library on Friday, April 19t" at 7:00pm.
We will take reservations starting on March 1, 2013.
ELF Tile Project: We have received new tiles from Lisa and they are on display in the Reference area.
Marion has completed her last tiles and are to be shipped to us. The tile purchased by the Library Board will
need some adjustments to allow enough space for the young boy to be sitting under the tree. The additional cost
of the tile is $150.00.
Kate handed out the information on the city recycle program that begins on March 1, 2013.

DISCUSSIONS:
1. Barney suggested that the board members bring to the next meeting questions about or suggestions
for the library.
2. Barney met Kimberlee Flint, our new Part-time Youth Librarian Assistant. Barney asked if we
could introduce the new employees to the board members at a Library Board Meeting.
3. Betty Fuller is very happy with the tiles we have received from Lisa.
4. Marcia Brown inquired about the status of the e-books for our library.
5. Kate Lyon responded to Marcia's inquiry.
CITIZEN INPUT:
1. Councilman Leon Hogg commented on:
a. The status of the lofts on Hwy 121.
b. The Aquatics Center and Park
c. Town Hall Meeting at City Hall on January 24th at 7:00pm
d. Riverwalk
2. Steve Doty reported that Loretta Doty is recovering from her surgery
3. LuAnn Portugal commented on:
a. Planning and Zoning have lots of new things coming to Euless
ADJOURNMENT:
The Vice-Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Beverly Leake and seconded by
Marcia Brown. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55pm.
