Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the minutes of
January 3, 2013 meeting. Beverly Leake made the motion to accept the minutes and Barney Snitz seconded the
motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Chairman Mike McGehee welcomed all of the visitors to the meeting.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Kate Lyon reviewed the library stats for January 2013.
Masterworks Programs:
We had 65 attend the Ken Nelson performance.
Beyond Pale, a Celtic group will perform on March 11`h at 7:00 p.m.
Alex Harvey, not part of the Masterworks programs, will perform at the library on Friday, April 19th at 7:00pm.
We will take reservations starting on March 1, 2013 and light snacks will be served.
The Boards and Commissions Dinner will be at the Texas Star on February 25r}' at 6:30p.m.
Kate shared with the board a Thank You note from a "grateful patron" regarding how safe she feels at our
library.
Election of Library Board Officers:
The Library Board members nominated and unanimously elected Mike McGehee as Chairman.
The Library Board members nominated and unanimously elected Barney Snitz as Vice-Chairman.
The representative to the Euless Library Foundation will be elected at the March meeting.

DISCUSSIONS:
1. Barney enjoyed the Ken Nelson program.
2. Barney encouraged the board members to bring suggestions to the next meeting.
3. Marcia gave kudos to the Youth Department for their teen program.
4. Loretta thanked the board for the get well card and inquired about a booth at Arbor Daze.
CITIZEN INPUT:
1. Councilman Leon Hogg commented on:
a. Rick Herold's father passed away
b. Glade Parks
c. Riverwalk
d. Rosa's Restaurant
2. LuAnn Portugal commented on:
a. Library displays
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Allan Gibbs and seconded by
Marcia Brown. The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
