CALL SO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Euless City
Council was called to order at IM P. M. in the Council Chambers of the
Euless City Hall with Mayor A. C. Krause presiding. Other members present
are listed as follows: Councilmen Dan Shull, Harold Co_pher, and Dwayne
Wilcox. (Absent were Mayor pro tem Frank Douglass and Councilman Don Warren.)
Also present were City Manager C. J.
Griggs, City Attorney James Cribbs, City Secretary Vada Ferris, City Engineer
William R. Ratliff and Public Works Director John Bayuk.

The invocation was presented by
Counc i 1 man Dwayne Wi 1 cox.

.Visitors in attendance are listed as
follows: Mrs. Betty Potthoff, representing the Mid - Cities Daily News, Mr.
Charles Barclay, representing the News Tribune, Messrs. Gene Welch, Jimmy
Gibbs, Charles G. Starnes, Melvin C. Michaud, Jack Grimm, B. R. Nowell,
Walter Elliott, and Everett Bauer.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes of the regular meeting dated
June 22, 1971,were approved as written.
PUBLIC HEARING: ZONING CASE NO. 211 - REQUEST OF MR. HARRY
B. HUNS I CKER FOR REZON IAG A 6.4 ACRE TRACT IN THE T.A. CASH
SURVEY, FRCM 1111-5" MULTIPLE FAMILY DV\aLING DISTRICT TO
"C -2" COMMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT. (PROPERTY LOCATED 400
FEET SOUTH CF SPUR 350 AND 868 FEET EAST CF THE WEST CITY
LIMITS)
Mayor Krause opened the Pub] is Hearing
on Zoning Case No. 211 ; and recognized Mr. Gene Welch, representing Mr. Harry
Hunsicker.
Mr. Welch advised the Council he would
answer any questions, however, he has nothing to add to the case since it
was presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission several weeks ago.
There were no opponents. Mayor Krause
declared the Public Hearing closed and advised Mr. Welch the Council w i I I
consider this case at the next Council meeting.

PUBLIC HEARING: ZONING CASE NO. 213 - REQUEST OF MR. EVERETT
L. BAUER FOR REZONING THE NORTH 2.11 ACRES OF TRACT 2, BAUER
ADDITION, FROM "R -1" SINGLE FAMILY DJ\aL I NG DISTRICT TO ''C -2"
COMMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT. (PROPERTY LQCATED ON WEST SIDE

Mayor Krause opened the Public Hearing
on zoning Case No. 213 and recognized Mr. Walter Elliott, representing Mr.
Everett Bauer.
Mr. E I I i ott advised the Council he
would answer any questions, however, he has nothing to add to the case since
it was presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission several weeks'ago.
There were no opponents. Mayor Krause
declared the Public Hearing closed and advised Mr. Elliott the Council will
consider this case at the next Council :meeting.

Mayor Krause recognized Mr. Charles
Starnes, Engineer for the Developer, Raldon Corporation.
The Council reviewed the Planning and
Zoning Minutes, dated July 6, 1971, in which the Developer agreed to take care
of off -site drainage improvements to meet approval of the City and install
underground utilities throughout the subd i.v i s i on.
Councilman Shull moved to concur w_ ith
the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and approve the final
plat, Oak Forest Addition, Second Section.
Councilman Wilcox seconded the motion
and the vote is as follows:,
Ayes: Counci Imen Shull , Wi 1 cox and Copher
Nays: None
Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.

Members of the Council had revtewed
the plat and the Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes.
Councilman Shull moved to concur with
the Planning and Zoning Commission and approve the final plat, as presented.
Councilman Wilcox seconded the motion
and the vote is as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Shull, Wilcox and Copher
Nays: None
Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.

CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION FOR BUILDING PERMIT
AND-CERTIFICATE CF OCCUPANCY REOUESTED BY MR.
B. R. NOWELL FOR A METAL BUILDING TO BE LOCATED
AT 304 SOUTH INDUSTRIAL BLVD. (WEST SIDE OF
F. M. 157 ACROSS FRCM VILLA DRIVE)
Mayor Krause recognized Mr. B. R. Nowel1,
who stated the building mill be prefabricated metal and similar buildings are
located in Arlington, Richland H i I I s and Fort Worth. He also stated this is
a franchised operation.
Councilman Copher moved to approve the
application for a building permit -and certificate of occupancy as requested.
Councilman Shull seconded the motion
and the vote is as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Copher, Shull and Wilcox
Nays: None
Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.

RESOLUTION NO, 281 - APPRECIATION TO THE DISTRICT
BOARD AND GENERAL MANAGER OF TARRANT COUNTY WATER
'CONTROL AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1

Councilman Shull moved to concur with
the recommendation of the City Engineer and approve Resolution No. 281.
Councilman Copher seconded the motion
and the vote i s as follows:

Nays: None
Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.

RESOLUTION NO. 282 - APPREC.I,AT I ON TO TRINITY RIVER AUTHORITY,
ITS GENERAL MANAGER AND ITS PROJECTS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Councilman Wilcox moved to concur with
the recommendation of the City Engineer and approve Resolution No. 282.
Councilman Copher seconded the motion
and the vote i s as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Wilcox, Copher and Shgll
Nays: None
Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.
Councilman Copher commended, the City
Engineer for endeavors in the project leading to the presentation of these
resolutions.
Mayor Krause expressed appreciation to
the Counciln,members and Engineer for their steadfastness in this project.

SWIMMING POOL - SOUTH EULESS PARK
Mr. Ratliff presented a drawing of the
proposed pool and bathhouse at South Euless Park and advised the Council that
information is expected about August 15th on the Parks & Wildlife Grant;
that the pool wi I I be ready for use in May, 1972.
