The City Attorney informed the Council
that he had reviewed documents which are standard copies of bylaws governing
greenbelts and although these particular documents are not completely ap-
plicable, they can be modified to control the greenbelt section of this
development. The City Attorney stated that documents covering maintenance
of the greenbelt in this development should be signed and recorded, to re-
lieve the City of any responsibility -for maintenance of the greenbelt.
Mr. Pickett stated that this development
w i l l be a f i r s t class project and t h e greenbelt w i l l be maintained by the
developer until such time as 90% of the property is sold, at which time a
home owners' organization w i l l take over the maintenance of the g.reenbel t.
Mr. Pickett advised that since these homes wi I I range from $30,000 to
$50,000 he is of the opinion the home owners would not be neglectful of
maintaining the greenbelt as a beautiful area. He stated further that the

requested by the City, and to meet all requirements as set for -th -in -the
City Engineer's letter dated August 19.1971.
