Called Meeting
Euless City Council
April 8, 1972
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor A. C. Krause called the meeting
to order at 7:25 P. M. in the Euless City Hall Council Chambers, stating
that this meeting is called to consider votes cast in the municipal elec-
tion held this date. Present were Councilmen Frank Douglass, Don Warren,
Dan Shull , Harold Copher, and Dwayne Wilcox.
Also present, were City Manager C. J.
Griggs, City Attorney James Cribbs, and City Secretary Vada Ferris.
ACCEPTANCE OF ELECTION RETURNS
At the request of the Election Judge,
Mr. W. W. Cromer, Mayor A. C. Krause read the election results, as follows:
One Thousand, One Hundred and Fifteen
(1115) votes were cast, as follows:

Mayor Krause announced a run -off
election will be necessary in Place One; the candidates are Mr. Bill Dunn
and Encumbent Councilman Frank Douglass. He announced Mr. Harold Samuels
elected to Place Three and Mr. Darrel Benson to Place Five, and would be
seated on the Council, April 11, 1972.
Councilman Warren moved to accept the
election returns and declare Messrs. Samuels and Benson as having received
a majority of the votes cast in Place Three and Five respectively.

Councilman Copher seconded the motion
and the vote i s as follows:
Ayes: Counc i 1 men Warren, Copher, Dougl ass, Shul 1 , and Wi 1 cox
Nays: None
Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.
APRIL 22, 1972, SCHEDULED FOR RUN -OFF ELECTION
Councilman Warren moved to approve
April 22, 1972, as the date for the run -off election in Place One -
the candidates being Mr. B i 11 Dunn and Encumbent Councilman Frank
Douglass.
Councilman Copher seconded the motion
and the vote is. as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Warren, Copher, Douglass, Wilcox, and Shull
Nays: None
Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.
Mayor Krause expressed appreciation
to Mr. Cromer, Election Judge, and the election clerks, and stated this
is the most votes cast in a municipal election in the City of Euless.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 P. M.
