M. in the Council Chambers of Euless City Hall with the following Councilmen i n attendance: Messrs. Dwayne Wilcox, Bill Dunn, Harold Samuels, and Darrel Benson. (Absent was Councilman Harold Copher.) Also present were City Manager C. J. Griggs and City Secretary Vada Ferris. CANVASS ELECTION BALLOTS Mayor Krause announced this meeting was called for the purpose of canvassing the ballots cast in the municipal election held this date for the purpose of electing a mayor and two councilmen (Places Two and Four) and voting on three Charter Amendments. Mayor Krause read the election. results as follows: Mayor A. C. Krause (Incumbent) 614 Dan L Shull 216 Wayne Widner 18 J. Paul Comola 79 Place Two Harold L. Copher (Incumbent) 752 W. J. Hyde (write in) 2 Place Four J. Dwayne Wi l cox ( Incumbent) 266 Mrs. Willie Mae McCormick Tom L. King Amendment No. One 561 86 Should Section 1 Article 111 of the Euless City Charter as amended on February 18, 1969 be amended to provide that the regular city election shall be held annually on the first Saturday in April? FOR - 669 AGAINST - 29 94 (Page Two, Called Meeting Euless City Council, April 14, 1 _973) Amendment No. Two Should there be added to the Euless City Charter a new Article XIII providing for the creation of a six member Park and Recreation Board? FOR - 566 AGAINST - 121 Amendment No. Three Should there be added to the Euless City Charter a new Article XIV providing for the creation of a six member Library Board? FOR - 527 AGAINST - 159 Total Votes Cast - 911 Councilman Wilcox moved to accept the tabulation of votes as presented by Mr. W. W. Cromer, Election Judge and declare A. C. Krause re- elected to the office of Mayor, Harold Copher re- elected to the office of Councilman,:Place Two, and Mrs. Willie Mae McCormick elected as Councilwoman, Place Four, for a period of two years and charter amendments approved. Councilman Dunn seconded the motion and the vote i s as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Wilcox, Dunn, Benson, and Samuels Nays: None Mayor Krause declared the motion carried.
