Euless City Council
March 26, 1955
The City Council met in special session at
3:00 p.m., March 26, 1955. Present were Mayor Pro Tern Ernest Millican, Jr.,
and Councilmen A. E. Tillery, M. L. Anders, and J. S. Anderson.
After due consideration of a petition
signed by qualified persons, Ordinance No. 35 was unanimously adopted on
motion by M. L. Anders and second by A. E. Tillery. This ordinance duly
provides for the legal annexation of certain territory, as shown by plat
and field notes, by and to the City of Euless, such territory being adjacent
and contiguous to the present city limits. (Copy of Ordinance No. 35 on
file in Office of City Secretary.)
Next the matter of proper identification
badges for officers and members of the Volunteer Firemen was considered.
After due discussion J. S. Anderson moved that the Council instruct the Chief
of the Firemen to place an order for such. badges to be paid for by the
City. A. E. Tillery offered a seconded and the vote was unanimous in favor.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
