Mayor Pro Tem Harold Copher called
order at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of Euless City
members present were: Mrs. Willie Mae McCormick, Messrs.
Harold Samuels, and B i l l Dunn. (Absent was Mayor A. C. Krause)
Also present were City Manager C. J. Griggs
and City Secretary Vada Ferris.
CANVASS ELECTION BALLOTS
Mayor Pro Tem Copher announced t h i s
meeting was called fo r the purpose o f canvassing the ballot cast i n the
municipal election held this date for the purpose of electing a council -
person for Places One, Three, and Five.
The City Secretary announced that 615 votes
were cast and the election results are as follows:
Place One
Ivan Gregory 117
George Winter 150
Wayne Wright 338
Place Three
Harold Samuels (Incumbent) 504
Place Five
Darrel Benson (Incumbent) 393
James Trapp 168
Billy Owens (Write In) 3
Mr. Dunn moved to accept the tabulation
of votes as presented by Mr. W. W. Cromer, Election Judge, and declare Mr. Wayne
Wright elected to Place One, Mr. Harold Samuels, Place Three, and Mr. Darrel
Benson, Place Five for a period of two years.
Mr. Benson seconded the motion and the
vote is as follows:

Ayes: Messrs. Dunn, Benson, Samuels, Copher and Mrs. McCormick
Nays: None
Mayor Pro Tem Copher declared the
motion carried and expressed appreciation to the election officials.
