HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-04-0475 Regular Meeting Euless City Council April 4, 1955 The City Council met in regular session at 7:30 p.m., April 4, 1955. Present were Mayor Pro -Tem Ernest Millican, Jr., and Councilmen A. E. Tillery, W. H. Fuller, and J. S. Anderson. Minutes of previous meetings on March 7, 11, 15, 19 and 26, 1955 were read and approved separately and in numerical order. On motion by J. S. Anderson and seconded by W. H. Fuller, the Council voted unanimously to meet on Saturday April 9, 1955, in special session for the purpose of canvassing the returns from the city election, and install those elected to office as councilmen and mayor. Next the matter of a base rate per square foot to be charged in arriving at a fair cost estimate to be used in issuing building permits was considered. in due time, on motion by A. E. Tillery and seconded by W. H. Fuller, the follwoing charges were adopted by unanimous vote: Frame and /or concrete blocks Masonry veneer Load bearing masonry Porches and breezeways a. wood b. concrete Garage, carport or store room Sheds $5.50 per sq. ft. living area 7.40 per sq. ft. living area 7.80 per sq. ft. living area 1.50 per sq. ft. 2.00 per sq. ft. 2.00 per sq. ft. 1.00 per sq. ft. The above schedule applies to dwellings only, i t being agreed that the living area" sha 1 be determined by the actual area enclosed for such purpose with no a lowance for garage, carport, sheds, etc. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. /s/ J. S. Anderson Secretary /s/ Ernest Millican. Jr. Mayor Then on a motion by W. H. Fuller and second by A. E. T Ilery, the Council voted unanimously to accept from H. H. Fuller a deed and plat dedicating to the city a strip of land along his east line, and ad oining the Allmon tract, along its west line, said strip being 30 feet wide and extending 349 feet north from Bedford Road. As stipulated in the deed, this is to be used as an alley to gain ingress and egress as well as an easement for utility installations. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. /s/ J. S.
