April
Dear Citizens,
I love the month of April. It’s a time for transition. The days are getting warmer, the flowers are blooming and there is a sense of renewal and transition.
Part of this Spring’s transition includes the General Election on May 2, when Euless residents will be voting on two Council member positions. I’m sorry to say that Salman Bhojani, Council Member and current Mayor Pro Tem, isn’t seeking reelection next month. We greatly appreciate all his contributions to the City, most recently as a Councilmember for three years and as a member of the Euless Parks and Leisure Services Board for three years prior to that. His knowledge and love of our City is obvious. Salman is energetic and passionate about giving back to our community, so I expect we will continue to see him volunteering his time to make Euless a great place.
One last note, Euless City offices will be closed on Friday, April 2, but trash and recycling services will not be affected.

600 South Main Street
Head over to South Euless Park for family-friendly fun. This park offers a playground, swing set, outdoor basketball half
court and even a Splash Pad. With its shaded tables, barbecue grills, pet station and bathroom facilities, it’s the perfect place
for family picnics.
The South Euless Park Splash Pad is open May through September. Its fun water features provide free entertainment for
children of all ages. The Splash Pad has a raining bucket, an in-ground spray fountain, spray poles, a colorful misty arch,
geysers and a spray column, which are all located on a blue rubber surface. The interactive spray elements are timed so
water only runs when the sprayground is in use. Simply press the top of the yellow bollard to start the water features.
This 5-acre park is located behind South Euless Elementary School. When you visit South Euless Park, try out the Splash
Pad and check out the historic Old Iron Bridge, a picturesque truss bridge built in 1889.
