Parks and Leisure Services Board
February 01, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 7:02 p.m. On
Monday, February 01, 2021, in the Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall building by Chairman
Randy Jones. Other Board Members present:John Raab, Isha Sharma, Magen Brown, Steve Doty,
Roger Sickler, Kay Seeger and Jason Reyes.
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Parks Manager
Daniel Dearborn, Park Superintendent Ryan Turner, Controller Jordan Peterson and
Administrative Secretary Jodie Dunn.
Visitors present: Council member Jeremy Tompkins
INVOCATION
Roger Sickler gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Randy Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the
October 5, 2020 regular meeting. Roger Sickler made the motion to approve the minutes as
presented and was seconded by John Raab. The vote was unanimous.
I. Election of Officers
Chairman Jones advised that the current Park Board Officers are: Chairman —Randy Jones,
Vice Chairman —John Raab and Secretary—Steve Doty.
The current Tree Board Officers are: Chairman — Jason Reyes and Vice Chairman — Roger
Sickler.
Chairman Jones stated that each officer will be elected by nomination and then vote of the
Park Board. He opened the floor for nominations.
John Raab made the motion to nominate Randy Jones for Chairman of the Park Board. The
motion was seconded by Jason Reyes. There were no other nominations and the vote to
approve was unanimous.

Steve Doty made a motion to nominate John Raab for Vice Chairman. There were no other
nominations and the vote to approve was unanimous.
Roger Sickler made a motion to nominate Steve Doty for Secretary. The motion was
seconded by Jason Reyes. There were no other nominations and the vote to approve was
unanimous.
Roger Sickler made a motion to nominate Jason Reyes for Chairman of the Tree Board.
The motion was seconded by Randy Jones. There were no other nominations and the vote
to approve was unanimous.
Jason Reyes made the motion to nominate Roger Sickler as Vice Chairman of the Tree
Board. The motion was seconded by Randy Jones. There were no other nominations and
the vote to approve was unanimous.
The new 2021 Park Board officers are: Chairman — Randy Jones, Vice Chairman — John
Raab and Secretary—Steve Doty.
The new 2021 Tree Board officers are: Chairman —Jason Reyes and Vice Chairman — Roger
Sickler.

IV. Business of the Tree Board
Tree Board Chairman Jason Reyes reported the following for January 2021:
a. Total man hours for January 1st-31st
• 247 Horticulture
• 147 Forestry
• 64 Greenhouse
• 108 Special Projects
• 15 Training
➢ Chipped Christmas Trees. Mulch was given away at Christmas tree recycle
location.
➢ Trimmed trees along Harwood Rd.
> Trimmed trees around bank of the Preserve.
➢ Park staff attended training classes and seminars.
V. Parks and Community Services Reports
a. Community Services Report—Ray McDonald
• Bob Eden Updates
• Softball World Updates
• Parks Dept. revamp with crews/districts
• Arbor Daze 2021 has been cancelled
Chairman Jones thanked the staff for their reports.
VI. Other New Business
No new business.
VII. Input from City Council Members and Visitors
Jeremy Tompkins thanked board members. Jeremy touched on Highland Drive/Street Revamp.
Jeremy gave city updates and informed members that Town Hall was cancelled.

Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:47 p.m.
