CALL 10 ORDER
The specially called meeting of the Euless
City Council was called to order at 3 :00 p.m. in the Euless City Hall Council
Chamber by Councilman Harold Copher. Members present were Mrs. W i l l i e Mae
McCormick, Messrs. Ray Ozebek and Wayne Wright. (Absent: Mayor A. C. Krause
and Councilman Harold Samuels)
Also present were City Secretary, Vada
Ferris, and City Attorney Bob McFarland.

A visitor was Ms. Barbara Burke, repre-
senting the Mid - Cities Daily News.
INVOCATION
The invocation was presented by Mrs. Willie
Mae McCormick.
PURPOSE CF MEETING
Councilman Copher announced that this
meeting is called for the purpose of discussing emergency matters requiring
exigent decision pertaining to personnel of the City. He stated that the
Council w i l l now convene in executive session and requested Ms. Burke wait
outside t h e Council Chambers where she w i l l be called at the time the Council
convenes in open session.
Copher reconvened the Council meeting
into open session at 3 :50 p.m. and Ms. Burke was readmitted to the Council
Chamber.
RESIGNATION CF CITY,
MANAGER, MR. C. J. GR I GGS
Mr. Copher read Mr. Griggs letter of
resignation as follows:
As you are aware, 1 feel the need of a respite from the duties,
responsibilities, and imposed requirements of my position.
This is not to suggest an extended leave of absence for some
unknown, unspecified and therefore indeterminate period of time.
Even though such decision must always be difficult to face, 1
request that rry termination be made effective November 15, 1974.

Mr. Copher stated that Mr. Griggs has
been with the City of Euless for several years and is to be commended for
the excellent job he has done in his duties as City Manager.
Mr. Wright moved to accept the resignation
of Mr. C. J. Griggs as the City Manager of Euless, effective November 15, 1974.
Mr. Ozebek seconded the motion and the
vote is -as follows:
Ayes: Mrs. McCormick, Messrs. Wright, Ozebek and Copher
Nays: None
Mr. Copher declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 347: .
DES 1 GNATI NG ACTING
CITY MANAGER
At the request of the Council, Mr. McFarland
read Resolution No. 347 which appoints Mr. W. M. Sustaire as Acting City Manager
for an interim period.
Mr. Ozebek moved to approve Resolution No.
347 appointing Mr. W. M. Sustaire as interim Acting City Manager.
Mrs. McCormick seconded the motion and
the vote is as follows:
Ayes: Mrs. McCormick, Messrs. Wright, Ozebek and Copher
Nays: None
ADJOURNMENT
