PUBLIC HEARING, BOARD OF
ADJUSTMENT CASE NO. 18, REQUEST
OF MR. LAWRENCE L. POST FOR ISSUANCE
OF CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY - SOUTH-
WEST CORNER OF S.H. 183 AND F.M. , 157
Chairman Uselton opened the Public
Hearing to consider the request of Mr. Lawrence L. Post for a Certificate
of Occupancy to allow the manufacturing of mobile homes within an exist-
ing metal structure located on a 16.5 acre tract in the A. M. Downing
Survey, Abstract 415, at the Southwest corner of S.H. 183 and F.M. 157.
At the request of Chairman Uselton,
Mr. Bullard, City Inspector, advised that Mr. Post ' s request for a Certi-
ficate of Occupancy had been denied because such an operation would be in
violation with City of Euless Zoning Ordinance No. 347 -- that Mr. Post
proposes to operate from an existing structure which is not served with
water and sewer facilities and no parking spaces have been provided, as
required by the City Ordinance.
Mr. Post stated that he was not aware
he was operating in violation with the Zoning Ordinance -- that the owner
of the property had advised him that the property was properly zoned and
the business could be operated without any problems; therefore, he moved
in and started to manufacture mobile homes. Mr. Post advised that it was
at this time that the City Inspector advised him of the violation.
Mr. Post stated, further, that the
facility from which he is operating at this time is not large enough for
his operation, and he is going to move as soon as possible, but, during
the past two months, he has been unable to find a suitable location.
Mr. Post advised that his request is that the Board of Adjustment issue
a Temporary Permit to continue his business operation at the present site,
for a period of one year.
Chairman Uselton declared the Public
Hearing closed, and advised Mr. Post that he will be advised concerning

from the Council Chambers at this time.
