PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

July 21, 1964
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Planning
and Zoning Commission was called to order at 7:30 by the chairman, Ed-
ward Smith. The following members were present: Bert Heyl, LaVern Lee,
Henry Uselton and J. A. Horton. Also present Fannie Gorman, recording
secretary.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
The minutes of the previous meeting '
were read by the Secretary, LaVern Lee, Bert Heyl made a motion that
the minutes be corrected as follows: REQUEST FOR REZONING - III shall read
as follows 'The motion passed unanimously", and REQUEST FQt REZONING -IV
shall read as follows: Zoning Case #128 - Andrew Himes - The request for
rezoning property in the J. P. Halford Survey beginning at a point in the
West R.O.W, line of North Main from Residential to Local Business etc;
The Motion was seconded by Alter Horton, The Motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS - Zoning Case #129 - First Baptist Church
A request by the First Baptist Church
for rezoning property beginning at a point in the West R.O.W, line of
North Main Street from Local Business to "C" Commercial and rezoning pro-
perty'beginning at a point in the South R.O.W. line of proposed Highway
183-A, 300.0 ft. West of Main Street from "A" Residential to "C" Commer-
cial was considered by the Commission, The Commission discussed the pro-
posal and Alter Horton made a motion for approval. The motion was second-
ed by LaVern Lee. The motion passed unanimously, A P ublic Hearing date
was set for August 4, 1964.
NEW BUSINESS - Zoning Case #131 - Bertha Plisko
Bertha Plisko requested the rezoning of
2 lots (18 and 19 of Block 14) Bell Ranch Terrace from "A" Residential to
"C" Commercial. The Commission considered the request and 1 gmr.stion arose
as to the deed restrictions in the area. It was suggested by the Chairman
that the Zoning Case be tabled until such time as the deed restrictions, if
any, were understood by the Commission. Alter Horton made a motion to table
the request. The. motion was seconded by LaVern Lee. The motion passed unan-
imously.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 by
general sonsent of the membership.
