HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-02-18 February 18, 1964 Slow A Regular Meeting of the City of Euless Planning & Zoning Commission. Members presents Frank Douglass, Ed Smith, Bert Heyl, Alter Horton and Henry Uselton. Visitors: Lee Cowell, Jim Davies, Zolon Wilkins, C.G. Milkins, David Moak and fourteen property owners from the area around Euless Electric Company. The meeting was called to order by Frank Douglass, Chairman, The minutes of the meeting dated February 4, 1964 were read and approved, I. George Gordon presented a request for rezoning, Zoning Case #117, changing zoning from residential to commercial. A discussion of the proposed change was held for the edification of the fourteen property owners present from the area in question, being Tr, 2A1 and Tr. 2B1 out of the J.P. Halford Survey fronting on North Main Street. A motion was made by Ed Smith that the rezoning request be approved as requested on plat in Zoning Case #117. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously. II. Mr. W.L. Byers presented a request for change of zoning designation, from r. residential to commercial, on a 13.930 acre tract out of the J.P. Milford Survey. Henry Uselton moved that a public hearing be called for March 17, 1964 to consider the request of W.L. Byers. The motion was seconded and carried. Zoning Case #119. III. Alter Horton moved that a public hearing be called for March 17, 1964 to consider request of Jack Apwisch for a change of zoning designation on 5.16 acres out of the Mills Subdivision, from residential & commercial to commercial. The motion was seconded and carried. Zoning Case #129. IV. Bert Hey' moved a public hearing be called for March 17, 1964 to consider request of Herman Smith for a change of zoning designation on Tr. A, Blk. 1, Tr.A, Blk. 2 and Tr. Al Blk. 3 of Wilshire Village, from Single Family Dwelling, to A-3, Multiple Family Dwelling. The motion was seconded and carried. Zoning Case #115. V. Zolon Wilkins presented a plat of certain lots in Cedar Hill Estates, and 'fir requested change of zoning designation as follows: On Lots 2,3,4 and 5 of Block 11, A-2, Multiple Family Dwelling; on Lots 6,7,8 and 9 of Block 11, and Lots 15, 21 and 22 of Block 12, A-3, Multiple Family Dwelling, Bert Hey' moved that a public hearing be called for March 17, 1964 to consider the zoning change requested by Mr. Wilkins. The motion was seconded and carried. Zoning Case #121. Also Saw included in this request is Lot 12, Blk. 5, Cedar Hills Estates. VI, Bert Heyl moved that the Euless portion of the revised plat of part of Oakcrest Estates be approved, which includes Lots 8R-1, 9R-1, l0R-1, 11R-1, ,:2R-1 and 13R-1 of Block 9 and Lots 9R, 10R-1, and 11R-i of Block 10, Oak- crest Estates, as presented by Jim Davies.
