HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-12-03 December 3, 1963 A Regular Meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission. Members present were: Frank Douglass, Henry Uselton, Alter Horton, Bert Heyl, Edward A. Smith and Jim Davies, City Engineer. Visitors present were: James L. Wimbish, John C. Gibson, C.E. Hall, Ned A. " Finney, E.N. Mumford, Jr., J.M. Ferree, Jr., Mrs. J.M. Ferree, Jr., Roy H. Spyker, Jim Dunaway and Herman Smith. 1. Mr. Jim Dunaway presented another section of Wilshire Village. Henry Uselton e made a motion to approve the platt, Wilshire Village, Section #6 with the stipulation that drainage problems at the corner of WestCliff Drive and Windlea Drive and Windlea Drive and Canyon Ridge Drive be worked out with Jim Davies, City Engineer prior to presentation to City Council and furthermore tax receipts be presented to City Council. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously. Street profiles being previously approved by the commission, a motion was made by Bert Heyl to approve the plat, Wilshire Village Section #7. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously. Ed Smith moved that a Public Hearing be set for January 1, 1964 to consider rezoning request of Herman Smith, to change designation from Residential to A-3, x Duplexes of Tract A, Blk. 1, Tract A, Blk. 2, Tract A, Blk. 3 of Wilshire Village , Section #7. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously. y'c 2. James L. Wimbish expressed his desire to rezone, per Zoning Case #110. C.E. Hall and Roy H. Spyker, neighboring property owners, favored the rezoning. A motion was made by Bert Heyl that 2.46 acres as shown on plat of zoning case #110 bb zoned for Local Business. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously. 3. No representatives for zoning case #111 were present. Ned Finney, Mr. & Mrs. J.M. Ferree, Jr.,E.N. Mumford were here to oppose the zoning change. The motion was made by Henry Uselton that the request for rezoning of Tract B, Oakwood Terrace North, 1st Filing, be denied. The motion carried. 4. Further street and drainage problems of Uncle John's Ranchettes were ironed out and the plat is to be presented on the 17th of December, the next regular meeting of the Commission. 5. err' The motion was made by Bert Heyl and seconded that a public hearing be set for January sic 1964 for considering the rezoning request of Dr. Roy F.
