HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-10-15 October 15, 1963 A Regular Meeting of the Zoning & Planning 4111br Members Present: Frank Douglass, Ed Smith, Henry Uselton and Jim Davies, City Engineer. 1. The meeting was called to order by Frank Douglass, Chairman. The minutes of the previous meeting of October 1, 1963, were approved as read. 2. A motion was made by Henry Uselton and seconded by Ed Smith that Westcliff Drive from Canyon Ridge Drive east to Lot 8, Blk, 25, Oakwood Terrace North, 2nd Filing, be changed to Northcliff Drive, in order to eliminate duplicate house numbers, as shown on plat. The motion carried. 3. A motion was made by Ed Smith that we give no consideration to Tucker property plat until such plat complies with Ordinance #147, specifically; a topographical map and showing on plat existing dedicated streets being abandoned. The motion was seconded by Henry Uselton and carried unanimously. 4. The Commission agreed not to approve the preliminary plat of Uncle Johns Ranchette Addition for the following reasons. 1. The plat must be_ submitted five (5) days before the regular meeting of the commission so as to allow the City Engineer to consider same for recommendation to the commission. 2. The plat does not follow the Master Plan in respect to right-of-way along North Main Street. (50' instead of 100'). 3, Wiser Road (County Road 3121) is designated as a 50' street and according to the Master Plan should be 60'2. 4. Because of verbal statement by Uncle John's representative that he planned to house animals on property in question, due consideration should be given Ordinance #33, paragraph d., page 14. 5. Only two plats were received and Ordinance #147 calls for five copies. 6. All City Ordinances must be complied with as planning and development progresses. 7. Although the airport is not affected at this time, consideration r should be given to the problems of building on the end of a proposed runway by the •evelopers.
