Minutes Planning & Zoning Board.
i`,,. Present: Chairman Douglass, Horton, Heyl, Uselton and Smith.
Also present: W.F. Condron, Jr., Jim Davies, Paul Huffhines, Mr. Karpenko
and Mr. Stewart.

Re-zoning request from residential to commercial for Mr. Paul Huffhines,
Case #107 was discussed. Mr. Huffhines appeared in behalf of the request. Mr.
Karpenko and Mr. Stewart appeared initially as being in opposition to the
proposal. An agreement was reached during the discussion whereby Mr. Huffhines
agreed to sell the lot directly behind Mr. Karpenko's house( 105' deep X 245.5'
wide) to Mr. Karpenko. Said lot to be excluded from the proposed commercial
re-zoning. On motion by Ed Smith, seconded by H. Uselton, the Board voted
unanimously to approve the request, except the abovementioned lot,

A composit plat of the western section of the J.P. Belford Survey was
presented to the Planning & Zoning Board by the City Manager and City Engineer.
The proposed plat had been previously presented to the Superintendent of the
Hurst-Euless-Bedford Public Schools, John Ball, Engineer representing the Fred
Tucker Properties, and Mr. Bob Richards, representative of Mayflower Development
Corp., each agreeing favorably with the proposal. The Planning & Zoning Board
responded favorably with the proposal, but suggested that ten (10) acres be
recommended for a Municipal building complex site.

City Manager recommended that an official Zoning map be drafted by Brown
& Davies Engineers, to be presented for adoption with the newly proposed
Zoning Ordinance. Vote in favor was unanimous.
4.
The Board agreed to present in cooperation with the Euless City Council,
a certificate of Appreciation to R.W. Fuller for his long and faithful tenure
as a member and Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Board from April 1958 to
April 1963.
