Euless City Council
June 30, 1955
The City Council met in special session
at 7:00 p.m., June 30, 1955• Present were Mayor Jimmy C. Payton and
Councilmen A. E. Tillery, W. H. Fuller, Ernest Millican, Jr. and J. S.
Anderson.

Also present were T. A. Kennard and
C. D. Nichols.
The purpose of the meeting was to further
consider Ordinance No. 40. This is a planning ordinance which has been
discussed for some time with no definite action being taken due to its
wide implications. At a previous meeting on June 13, 1955, each member of
the Council was supplied a copy of the ordinance in order that it might
be read and studied by all; therefore, at this meeting there was enlightening
discussion with varied opinions. Eventually Ernest Millican, Jr. moved
that the ordinance be adopted. W. H. Fuller offered a second and the
vote was unanimously in favor. (Copy o f Ordinance No. 40 on f i l e in Office
