CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, Texas was called to order at 7:40 p. m. by the chairman, Len Weber. Members of the board present were: Messrs. Paul Gates, Bert Heyl, Len Weber, Don Hastings. LaVern Lee was not in attendance. Mr. Jack Bullard, City Inspector was also present for the meeting. Visitors present for the meeting were as follows: Messrs. G. L. Gordon, B. W. Thomas, W. R. Petty, and Ralph M. Jackson. II. PRESENTATION OF MINUTES In the absence of LaVern Lee,board Secretary, the minutes of the May 17, 1966 meeting were read by Don Hastings. There were no corrections or additions to the minutes therefore they were declared approved as read by the Chairman. III. OLD BUSINESS Resolution #65-A Reset Public Hearing Date - Zoning Case #151 - David Moak and Walter Elliott. Don Hastings made a motion to reset the public hearing date on Zoning Case #151 for June 21, 1966. The motion was seconded by Paul Gates and the vote was as follows: Ayes: Gates, Heyl, Hastings. Nays: None The Chairman declared the motion carried thereby resetting the hearing date for Zoning Case #151 for June 21, 1966. IV. NEW BUSINESS (6, A. Resolution #66 - Set Public Hearing Date - Zoning Case #152 - F. O. Genseke - Rezoning of a 29.288 tract of land out of the A. J. Huitt Survey A 684. Page Two, PLANNING & ZONING MINUTES, June 7, 1966 After discussion of the location of the tract of land in question, Don Hastings made a motion to set a Public Hearing Date for June 21 , 1966. The motion was seconded by Bert Heyl and the vote was as follows: Ayes: Hastings, Heyl , Gates. Nays: None. The Chairman declared the motion carried setting a Public Hearing Date for June 21, 1966, for Zoning Case #152. B. Commercial Permit #37 - H. E. "Gene" Woodard - Continental Professional Center. After reviewing the plans for the Continental Professional Center to be constructed at the Corner of Highway No. 183 and Farm Road No. 157, Paul Gates made a motion to recommend approval of Commercial Permit #37. The motion was seconded by Bert Heyl and the vote was as follows: Ayes: Heyl , Gates, Hastings. Nays: None. The Chairman declared the motion carried and stated that the commission recommends approval of Commercial Permit #37 to the City Council . C. Commercial Permit #38 - Walker Petty - Robo Car Wash. Mr. Walker Petty presented the Commission with plans for the construction of a Robo Car Wash at the corner of Highway No. 183 and Ridgecrest Drive in Euless. He explained the operation to the board members and showed them pictures of similar structures. After minor discussion, a motion was made by Bert Heyl and seconded by Don Hastings that the commission recommend approval of Commercial Permit #38. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Heyl , Gates, Hastings. Nays: None. The Chairman declared the motion carried. The Commission thereby recommends approval of Commercial Permit #38. D. Commercial Permit #39 - Gordon it Owens - Euless Electric Company. Mr. B. W. Thomas presented plans for the construction of a building to house Euless Electric Company to be located on North Main Street just south of the new Shield's Pharmacy. Along with the request for a Page Three, PLANNING & ZONING MINUTES, June 7, 1966 Commercial tuilding Permit, Gordon and Owens are also requesting permission to install a septic tank since steer:'#.lanes e're..not readily ava tiablesto"their Illy location. After considerable discussion about the acceptability of a septic tank, Bert Heyl made a motion that the commission recommend approval of the plans for Commercial Permit #39 subject to the City Council working out the sewer service or approving the septic tank installation. Paul Gates seconded the motion and the vote was as follows: Ayes: Hastings, Gates, Heyl . Nays: None. The Commission adjourned at 8:35 P.M. by general consent of the members. 14a, /1-77jf; --- L
