CALL TO ORDER I.
4a, The regular meeting of the Planning & Zoning
Commission was called to order by the chairman, Henry Uselton. The following
members were in attendances Messrs. Bert Heyl, L, J. Weber and Don Hastings,
Also present were Kenneth English, Bobby Ful-
ler and Billy Byers.
PRESENTATION OF MINUTES II.
The minutes of the previous meeting were appro-
ved as read..
OLD BUSINESS III,
A. Dedication of Park Street
A plat, showing a 60 foot right-of-way on Park
Street, was presented to the Commission. This was in compliance with a letter
to Mr. Carl Smith, dated March 24, from the Engineering firm of Gregory, Knowl-
ton and Ratliff, After a review of the plat and a statement by Mr. English of
the Engineering firm that the position of the Engineers had not changed and that
items 2 and 3 of the letter dated March 24, 1965 must be complied with before
acceptance of dedication, this item, requiring no action by the Commission was
passed for further action by the City Council. (Engineers letter hereby made a
part of the minutes.)
NEW BUSINESS IV,
A. Bobby Fuller, councilman - request for recommendation
Mr. Bobby Puller and Mr. Billy Byers, Council-
men, appeared before the Commission concerning appraisal of property in the
right-of-way of Spur 350 from Highway 157 to North Main Street. It was explained
that the location of the property gave it a potential Commercial zoning classi-
fication and that a letter to the County Engineer stating such, would enhance the
possibility of an increase in appraisal value for the property owners.
The Commission, after discussion, made a motion
to recommend'to the City Council approval of the request.` The motion was made
by Bert Heyl; seconded by L, J, Weber and passe unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT V.
The meeting was adjourned by general consent
of the members at 8130 p,m. '
