HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-02-16 REGULAR MEETING of the PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION February 16, 1965 CALL TO ORDER ihr The regular meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission was called to order by the Chairman, Edward Smith, with the following members in attendance, LaVern Lee, Bert Heyl, Henry Uselton and J. A. Horton, Also present, Jack Bullard, City Inspect. or. Visitors present were Mr. and Mrs. L. Lucas. PRESENTATION OF MINUTES The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. OLD BUSINESS I. A. Zoning Case #136 - Stanley J. Klir, Jr. Referred to the Commission for further consideration (City Council Minutes, February 9, 1965, Item V.) The Commission was requested to reset the Public Hearing before the Commission and the City Council as two property owners within 200 feet were not notified of the rezoning request. Bert Heyl made a motion to set a Public Hearing for March 16, 1965, LaVern Lee seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Res- olution No, 38, B. Wilshire West - Plat - John Barfield. The Commission was advised that the City Engineers had requested Mr. Barfield to replatt Wilshire Crest, allowing an 80 ft. R.O.W. on Barfield Cut-off as this La * future proposed thoroughfare, This replotting preliminary has not been re- ceived in the office of the City Inspector, to date. OTHER BUSINESS • A general discussion followed and the question of rezoning from "A" Residential to "C" Commercial, certain lots in Bell Ranch Terrace, to wit; Block 3, Lots 3 thru 15, Block 6, Lots 14 thry 26, Block 5, Lots 1 thru 26, Block 4, :Lots 1 thru 12, Block 4, Lots 20 thru 23 and Block 13 (Excluding Lots 1 thru 5 and 23.) was discussed and the Council was requested to consider this possibil- ity and inform the Commission of their opinion at a future date. tor J.A.
