MMERCIAL DING PERMIT N0. 66
ADDITION TO MIDWAY COFFEE SHOP,
REQUESTED BY MR. RAY D. PARKER
Chairman Weber recognized Mr. Fred Wilkinson,
who stated that he represents Mr. Ray. D. Parker, who operates a business known as
the Midway Coffee Shop, located at 204 Huffman Drive. Mr. Wilkinson stated that Mr.
Parker is desirous of securing a commercial building permit to make an addition to
the existing building --that the proposed addition will be used to house the dish
washing equipment, a salad table and as a storeroom -- that there will be no cooking
in the new addition.
Chairman Weber stated that he notes on the
application that Mr. Parker is not the owner of the building -- that Mrs. Earnest
Almon is the owner. Chairman Weber inquired if Mrs. Almon is agreeable to the pro-
posed addition to her building.
Mr. Wilkinson advised that Mrs. Almon has been
contacted in this matter and is agreeable to it, as long as it does not cost her
anything.
dcr Chairman Weber inquired concerning plans for
a grease trap, which will be required.

Mr. Wilkinson stated that the grease trap will
be moved with the dishwasher, in order to comply with requirements of the Health
Department.
Mr. Tench inquired if Mr. Parker has talked
with the City Inspector concerning the proposed addition.
Mr. Wilkinson replied affirmatively, stating
that Mr. Bullard advised that it would be satisfactory. Mr. Wilkinson stated that
Mr. Parker also talked with someone from the Health Department, who had recommended
this move.
Chairman Weber inquired concerning the present
structure.
Mr. Wilkinson stated that the East side of the
building is of frame construction, and the remainder is concrete blocks -- that the
addition will be of concrete blocks.
Doctor Lande made the motion to recommend
