HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-09-19 Regular Meeting eklar Planning and Zoning Commission September 19, 1972 CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order at 8:05 P. M. in the Council Chambers of Euless City Hall with Chairman Jack Cline presiding. Members present are listed, as follows : Messrs. Carl Tyson, Richard Leggett, Ray Ozebek and Jack Cline. (Absent were Messrs. Harry Arth, Herman Wallace and Robert Johnson. ) Also present was City Inspector Jack M. Bullard. VISITORS Visitors present are listed, as follows: Messrs. Aubrey Good and Mike Allen. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Leggett moved to approve minutes of the regular meeting dated September 5, 1972. Mr. Ozebek seconded the motion, and the vote is as follows: Ayes : Messrs. Leggett, Ozebek, Tyson and Cline Nays : None Chairman Cline declared the motion carried. II . CONSIDERATION OF REQUEST OF UNIVEST CORPORATION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME ON ORDINANCE NO. 395 (ZONING CASE 206) (PROPERTY LOCATED WEST OF WESTPARK WAY AND NORTH OF WEST PIPELINE ROAD) . Chairman Cline recognized Mr. Mike Allen, representing Univest Corporation. Mr. Allen advised that Univest requests a twenty-four month extension of time allowed for development of property conditionally zoned by Ordinance No. 395. He stated that the market is not suitable for development of the property at this time; however, he and his associates are of the opinion it will be within twenty-four months. Mr. Ozebek moved to recommend approval of lbw (Page Two, Minutes of Regular Meeting, Planning and Zoning Commission, September 19, 1972) army the extension of time, as requested. Mr. Leggett seconded the motion, and the vote is as follows : Ayes : Messrs. Ozebek, Leggett, Tyson and Cline Nays : None Chairman Cline declared the motion carried. III . CONSIDERATION OF REQUEST OF MR. AUBREY C. GOOD FOR PERMANENT ZONING ON PROPERTY CONDITIONALLY ZONED BY ORDINANCE NO. 333 (ZONING CASE 175) (PROPERTY LOCATED AT NORTHWEST CORNER OF NORTH MAIN AND HARWOOD ROAD) Chairman Cline recognized Mr. Aubrey C. Good, who stated that he is working on plans for development of the property located at the Northwest corner of North Main and Harwood Road at this time -- that he considers the conditional zoning of the property is suitable and will accommodate the highest and best use of the property now and in the future; therefore, he requests permanent zoning of the property. Mr. Tyson moved to recommend approval of Mr. Good's request for permanent zoning of the property conditionally zoned by Ordinance No. 333. Mr. Ozebek seconded the motion, and the vote is as follows : Ayes : Messrs. Tyson, Ozebek, Leggett and Cline Nays : None Chairman Cline declared the motion carried. IV.
