CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Planning
and Zoning Commission was called to order at 8:00 P. M. in the Council
Chambers of Euless City Hall with Chairman Jack Cline presiding. Mem-
bers present are listed as follows : Messrs. Harry Arth, Herman Wallace,
Carl Tyson, Ray Ozebek, Richard Leggett, Robert Johnson, and Jack Cline.
Also present was City Inspector Jack
Bullard.
VISITORS
Visitors present are listed as follows:
Messrs. Lee Roy Bonham, Jack Roseberry, Kellum Johnson, Homer A. Hunter,
Tom L. King, C. G. Ferrell , E. L. Holcomb, B. G. Black, John M. Duhon and
Walter A. Elliott, Jr. , and Mesdms. Rhoda E. Duhon and V. E. Romine.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Wallace moved to approve minutes of
the regular meeting dated August 1 , 1972, as written.
Mr. Arth seconded the motion and the
vote is as follows:
Ayes: Messrs. Wallace, Arth, Leggett, Tyson, Ozebek,
Johnson, and Cline
Nays: None
Chairman Cline declared the motion carried.
PUBLIC HEARING: ZONING CASE NO. 226 - REQUEST OF AMERICAN
DIVERSIFIED PROPERTIES, INC. FOR CHANGE OF ZONING DISTRICT,
FROM "R-1 " SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "C-2" COMMUNITY
BUSINESS DISTRICT. (PROPERTY LOCATED SOUTH OF SH 183 AND
EAST OF CULLUM DRIVE)
Chairman Cline opened the Public Hearing
on Zoning Case No. 226 and recognized Messrs. Kellum Johnson and Homer A.
Hunter, who presented the Zoning Case for American Diversified Properties.
Mr. Johnson stated they were requesting
the change of zoning at this time, as their contract to purchase the
property was contingent to the zoning of the property. Mr. Johnson further
stated that he did not have any plans for use of the property, at this time,
however, it would be a first-class development, an office building, motel and
Siar, a related shopping center. Mr. Johnson stated they were going to do a feasibility
study to determine the type of buildings and the arrangement of the buildings.

4106,- Chairman Cline called for other pro-
ponents. Mr. C. G. Ferrell stated that he lives adjacent to the property
in question and is in favor of the zoning change.
r• Chairman Cline called for opponents
and the following were against the zoning change:
Mr. John M. Duhon, 405 East Alexander Lane
Mr. E. L. Holcomb, 302 Dunaway Drive
Mr. V. E. Romine, 400 East Alexander Lane
Mr. Bob Black, 304 Dunaway Drive
Mr. Arth moved to recommend denial of
the request for change of zoning in Zoning Case No. 226.
Mr. Leggett seconded the motion, and
the vote is as follows:
Ayes: Messrs. Arth, Leggett, Wallace, Tyson, Ozebek,
Johnson, and Cline
Nays : None
Chairman Cline declared the motion carried. '
II .
CONSIDERATION OF PLAT APPROVAL: EULESS SHOPPING CENTER
(PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF SOUTH MAIN STREET AND SOUTH
OF HIGHWAY 183)
Chairman Cline recognized Mr. Walter
Elliott, who presented a plat of the Euless Shopping Center site, located
east of South Main Street and South of Highway 183.
Mr. Leggett moved to recommend approval
of the Plat for Euless Shopping Center.
Mr. Wallace seconded the motion and the
vote is as follows:
Ayes: Messrs. Leggett, Wallace, Arth, Tyson, Ozebek,
Johnson, and Cline
Nays: None
Chairman Cline declared the motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 10:00 P. M.
