Mr. Shoemaker stated that this is not
so much a zoning change as it is a plan change and pointed out that the
property is presently zoned "PD" Planned Development for cluster housing
and "R-2" Duplex Zoning along Lakewood Drive at Bocowood. He advised that
the purpose for the request is to change the development plan from cluster
housing and duplexes to townhouse development. Mr. Shoemaker displayed
pictures of townhouses, stating that they are what he intends to construct.
He also displayed front, rear and side elevations of the townhouses .
Mr. Johnson questioned the parking space
allowed for visitors.
Mr. Shoemaker replied that there will
be one parking space for visitors located behind each carport and that the
paving width of the street on the north side of the project will be thirty
(30) feet, which will allow for a twenty (20) foot fire lane and a ten
(10) foot parking lane for the length of the street.
Acting Chairman Arth called for opponents
to the zoning request. There being none, the Public Hearing was closed.
Mr. Johnson moved to recommend approval
