Planning and Zoning Commission
July 6, 1976
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Planning
and Zoning Commission was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers of Euless City Hall by Chairman Tyson. Other members present were
Messrs. Troy Fuller, Sam Munir, and Mrs. Helen Lightbody. (Absent were
Messrs. Dick Wells, Robert Johnson, and Neal Adams. )
Also present were Director of Public
Works, Jack Bullard and Recording Secretary, Becky Gunter.
VISITORS
Visitors in attendance were Messrs.
Herman Smith, Glenn Walker, and Mrs. Willie Mae McCormick.
INVOCATION

The invocation was given by Chairman
Tyson.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mrs. Lightbody made a notion to approve
the minutes of the regular meeting dated June 15, 1976, as written.
Mr. Munir seconded the : .otion and the
v6te is as follows:
Ayes: Mrs. Lightbody, Messrs. Munir and Tyson
Nays: None
Chairman Tyson declared the motion
carried.

CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING -
ZONING CASE NO. 255 REQUEST OF
HERMAN SMITH & CO. FOR CHANGE OF
ZONING FROM "C-2" COMMUNITY
BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "SP"
SPECIFIC USE PERMIT DISTRICT FOR
BOWLING ALLEY ON A PORTION OF
TRACT A, WILSHIRE VILLAGE
SHOPPING CENTER. (PROPERTY
LOCATED IN WILSHIRE VILLAGE
SHOPPING CENTER, SOUTH OF
SAGEBRUSH TRAIL AND WEST OF
PILGRIM MINI -WAREHOUSES.)
Chairman Tyson recognized Mr. Herman
Smith.
Mr. Smith presented the request for
a Specific Use Permit for a bowling alley in Wilshire Village Shopping Center.
Mr. Troy Fuller arrived at approximately
7:45 p.m.
After a lengthy discussion, Mr. Fuller
inquired why a Speci-fic Use Permit is necessary for a bowling alley because
Item 9, Page 18 of Zoning Ordinance No. 347 states that a bowling can be in a
"C-2" zoning.
After a discussion, Mr. Smith withdrew
his zoning case as the property is presently zoned "C-2", which is the required
zoning for a bowling alley.
