HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-10-04Called Meeting Euless City Council October 4, 1955 The City Council met in a called session October 4, 1955, at 7:00 p.m., with a quorum represented by four councilmen and the Mayor. Present were Mayor Jimmy Payton, and Councilmen M. L. Anders, J. S. Anderson, W. H. Fuller, and A. E. Tillery. The advisability of issuing a permit to Phillips Petroleum for a service station in or near Cresthaven on Highway 183 was discussed f u l l y before a motion by Councilman Anders was seconded by Councilman Tillery. The vote was unanimous that the permit be granted . Mention was made of insufficient information concerning the lot lines or the location of buildings on the lots in Cresthaven and in general any development where such might re- occur, and by suggestion by Councilman Anderson, the Council instructed the City Secretary to write a letter to Johnson - Campbell asking their cooperation by showing on future plans or drawings of proposed buildings, the location of the building on the lots. And that the City Secretary would be diligent in watching for any irregularities of this nature. Motion was made by Councilman Tillery and seconded by Councilman Fuller that the Council pay an expense item of $18.20 for repairs on a typewriter being used by the City Secretary in line of duty. The vote was unanimous for payment. Brief discussion was made of the selection of men for a zoning committee but no action was taken. The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. /s/ Thos. A.
