A RESOLUTION CONVEYING WRITTEN COMMENTS OF THE
CITY OF EULESS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE ON THE PROPOSED 1999 UPDATE OF THE LAND
USE ASSUMPTIONS, CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN FOR
WATER AND WASTEWATER, AND IMPACT FEES TO THE CITY
OF EULESS CITY COUNCIL
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
I.
THAT the proposed 1999 Update Of The Land Use Assumptions, Capital
Improvements Plan For Water And Wastewater, And Impact Fees have been
adequately prepared to meet the Local Government Code Chapter 395
requirements for a periodic update of the Land Use Assumptions and Capital
Improvements Plan.
II.
,,,, THAT after careful consideration of the proposed 1999 Update Of The Land
Use Assumptions, Capital Improvements-Plan for Water and Wastewater, and
Impact Fees, the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee is of the opinion
that:
1. With the addition of water line segment 703 shown on the 1999 Impact Fee
Review Map, the Land Use Assumptions, Living Unit Equivalent (5/8" water
meter), Capital Improvements Plan for Water and Wastewater, and Maximum
Impact Fees as described in the attached Update are appropriate and will
achieve the desired Ievel of service by the City of Euless for future
developments.
2. The City Council should consider increasing the percentage of the Maximum
Impact Fee assessed to 50%. This increase will better cover the cost of the
proposed improvements, while maintaining a competitive position for the City
of Euless in terms of amount of impact fees assessed.
III.
THAT this document serves as our written comments as required by Local
Government Code Section 395.056 "Advisory Committee Comments on
Amendments".
