Euless City Council
October 19, 1955
The City Council 'of Euless met in a
called session on October 19, 1955, at 7:00 p.m. Present were Mayor
Jimmy Payton, Councilmen M. L. Anders, J . S . Anderson, Ernest M i l l i c a n,
Jr., and A. E. Tillery.
Mr. Ear7 J. Harrison of Hurst met with
the Council for the purpose of securing a permit to erect a 28 by 60
foot shop on the rear of the lot on which P h i I I i p's 66 service station
in the City of Euless is located.
After altering his plans from a
sheet metal building to hydite block construction, permission was granted
for the erection of the building and the City Secretary was authorized to
grant such permit. The motion was made by Councilman Anderson, seconded
by Councilman Anders and the vote was unanimous.
a motion by Councilman M i l l i ca n and
seconded by Councilman Tillery, the Mayor was authorized to write a
letter to the Lone Star Gas Company, stating that the City Council had
no objections to the Lone Star Gas Company going down an undedicated
street to serve Mr. J. H. Whitener with gas, assuring the Lone Star Gas
Company that when the extended portion of this street is dedicated it
will be directly in front of the house being served. The vote was
unanimous. .
The meeting adjourned at 7 =30 p.m.
