Euless City Council
April 5, 1980
CALL TO ORDER
The called meeting of the Euless City Council
was called to order at 7:37 p.m., in the Council Chambers of Euless City Hall
by Mayor Harold Samuels. Other members present were Mayor Pro -tern Willie Mae
McCormick, Councilmen Robert Pippin, Glenn Walker, and Charles Hunt.
Also present were City Manager W. M.
Sustaire and City Secretary Della Houy.
V ISITORS
Visitors in attendance were Ron Sternfels,
Maureen Sternfels, Rene Sternfels, Teresa Walker, Judy Pippin, Tommie Samuels,
Robert T. McMi l lon, Sonia McMi 1 lon, Carla Shields, Ron Sheilds, Charles
Baldwin, Frank Douglass, B i l l Pasteur, Tamita Pasteur, and Howard Wilkinson.
CANVASS ELECTION RESULTS
Mayor Samuels stated the purpose of the called
meeting is to canvass the election results of the municipal election held this
date. There were seventy -five (75) absentee ballots printed with fifty -four (54)
persons voting absentee.
Mayor Samuels recognized Howard Wilkinson,
Election Judge, who presented the election results with 985 votes cast.

Mr. Walker moved to accept the election
results as presented by the Election Judge, Howard Wilkinson, electing Robert

Pippin, Councilman Place One; Glenn Walker, Councilman Place Three; and Ronald
[Ron) Sternfels, Councilman Place Five.
Mrs. McCormick seconded the motion and the
vote i s as follows:
Ayes: Mr. Walker, Mrs. McCormick, Messrs. Hunt and Pippin
Nays: None
Mayor Sarnuels declared the motion carried.
Mayor Samuels thanked the election officials
for their time in conducting the election.
Mayor Samuels stated the Councilpersons w i l l
be sworn in during the council meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 1980.
ADJOURNMENT
adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
