A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING REGULAR CITY COUNCIL
MEETINGS AND PROCEDURE FOR RESCHEDULING A
REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
WHEREAS, albeit rarely, the Euless City Council is required to reschedule its regular
meeting; and
WHEREAS, because no formal procedure currently exists for the rescheduling of a
regular council meeting, requiring such rescheduled meeting to be a specially called meeting of
the Euless City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Euless City Charter prohibits the consideration and adoption of
ordinances at a specially called meeting of the council; and
WHEREAS, the city council desires to establish an appropriate procedure for the
rescheduling of a regular council meeting so that such rescheduled meeting would be a regular
council meeting where ordinances could be considered under and pursuant to the provisions of
the Euless City Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
Regular meeting of the Euless City Council shall be on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each
month.
SECTION 2
In the event a regularly scheduled council meeting need be rescheduled for any reason, such
council meeting may be rescheduled by resolution of the city council to another date which
resolution shall, prior to such scheduled meeting date be published at least one (1) time in the
official newspaper of the City in which event such rescheduled regular meeting of the council
shall, for all purposes, be a regularly scheduled meeting of the Euless City Council.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the 28th day of
March, 2000, by a vote of 7 ayes 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
