A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS
AND TO AUTHORIZE ITS DISPOSITION
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, during the normal course of operation
acquires items of personal property, including fumiture, small office equipment and other
equipment; and
WHEREAS, such items of personal property over time become obsolete or
surplus; and
WHEREAS, all such items of personal property not used in other city facilities or
departments and having any market value is to be sold in the manner provided by law;
and
WHEREAS, there remains certain items of fumiture, office equipment and other
miscellaneous equipment which have little or no value, but which certain govemmental
entities and non - profit organizations express an interest in acquiring; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, desires by this
resolution to authorize the City Manager or his designee to declare such personal
property to be surplus and to authorize their disposition to other govemmental or non-
profit entities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to declare
personal property, which have little or no value, as surplus and hereby authorizes the
City Manager or his designee to dispose of such surplus to other govemmental entities,
including school districts, and to non - profit organizations at the discretion of the City
Manager.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council for the City of Euless, Texas,
and effective, on this 9th day of January, 2001, by a vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays,
and 0 abstentions.
