A RESOLUTION DECLARING A PUBLIC NECESSITY FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF A PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE REQUIRED FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PAVING AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO
GLADE ROAD AND TOWNE CROSSING BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has designed and desires to construct paving
improvements to Glade Road between State Highway 121 and Heritage Drive and Towne
Crossing Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the proposed paving improvements will require the construction of drainage
facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless must provide the necessary drainage easement offsite of
Glade Road right -of -way to construct the proposed drainage facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless does not have sufficient right -of -way existing to allow the
proposed construction of the drainage facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has identified a certain parcel of real estate as needed
for the construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless finds that a public necessity exists for
the acquisition of the aforesaid parcel of real estate, and that said parcel when taken, shall be
put to a public use for the benefit of the community at large,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section I: There is a public necessity for the acquisition by the City of Euless of the
parcel described in Attachment I.
Section 2: The real property interest designated for the parcel in Attachment I is
necessary and proper for the construction of the drainage facilities to serve Glade Road, and
such improvements are hereby declared to be a public use for a public purpose.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, and
effective, on this 9th day of January, 2001, by a vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.

COUNTY OF TARRANT
BEING a tract of land situated in the J. HAVEN SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 685, Tarrant
County, Texas, and being a portion of a tract of land described in a deed to B. HARRINGTON,
Et al, as recorded in Volume 138, Page 68 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas
(DRTCT), and being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point in the westerly right of way of State Highway 121(variable width
right of way), also being in the northeasterly comer of said tract of land to B. HARRINGTON, Et
al, and also being in the southeasterly comer of a tract of land described in a deed to HERITAGE
TOWNE CROSSING, L.P. as recorded in Instrument D200143017, D200138111, D200138110,
AND D200138108 (DRTCT);
THENCE along the common line of said tract of land to B. HARRINGTON, Et al and said tract
of land to HERITAGE TOWNE CROSSING, L.P., WEST, a distance of 789.72 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE departing the common line of said tract of land to B. HARRINGTON, Et al and said
tract of land to HERITAGE TOWNE CROSSING, L.P., South 00 °06'42" East, a distance of
300.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE WEST, a distance of 42.50 feet to a point for comer;
THENCE North 00 °06'42" West, a distance of 300.00 feet to a point for comer, in the northerly
line of said tract of land to B. HARRINGTON, Et al;
THENCE along the northerly line of said tract of land to B. HARRINGTON, Et al, EAST, a
distance of 42.50 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
CONTAINING within these metes and bounds 0.293 Acres or 12,750 square feet of land more or
less.
