A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE REVERSIONARY INTEREST OF
RAYMOND MCLAIN IN CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND ACKNOWLEDGING
THE REVERSION OF THE PROPERTY TO HIM AND RELEASE OF ANY AND
ALL CLAIMS TO THE PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, on April 14, 1983, Raymond McLain conveyed by warranty
deed as a gift to the City of Euless (City) a small tract of land comprising
approximately 1280 square feet to be used and maintained by the City as a
public park; and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the property is 1,280 square feet out
of Abstract 684, A. J. Huitt Survey; and
WHEREAS, the deed to the property contained a provision that
ownership of the property shall revert to Raymond McLain at such time as the
City should cease utilization or maintenance of the property as a public park; and
WHEREAS, the City has not utilized or maintained the property as a
public park in several years.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EULESS:
Section 1: That the City acknowledges the reversionary interest of Raymond
McLain in the above described property and the reverting of the property to him
and does hereby further release any and all claims of ownership to the property.
Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its
adoption and it is accordingly so resolved.
PRESENTED AND APPROVED on this the 8th day of May, 2001 by a vote of
7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
