MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE
LIBRARY BOARD
THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2021
ITEM NO. 1 CALLED TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Euless Library Board was called to order by Chairperson Snitz at 7:00
p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021, in the Meeting Room of the Library, 201 N. Ector Drive. Those
present included Chairperson Barney Snitz, Board Members Mike McGehee, Jim Hamilton,
Rochelle Ragas, Mavy Wright, and Chris McAllister. Vice Chairperson Allan Gibbs and Board
Member Jorge Chac were not present.

Mollie Myers,Administrative Secretary
Angela Jones, Youth Services Supervisor
Kelsea Ciavaglia, Community Services Supervisor
VISITORS
No visitors present.
ITEM NO. 2 APPROVED LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
Chairperson Snitz asked for a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held April 1,
2021. The motion was made by Board Member Hamilton and seconded by Board Member Ragas.
All were in favor and the motion carried.
ITEM NO. 3 WELCOMED VISITORS
No visitors present.
ITEM NO. 4 PRESENTED LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
❖ Staff Spotlight
Ms. Knight introduced Youth Services Supervisor, Angela Jones, and Community Services
Supervisor, Kelsea Ciavaglia. Each gave a presentation on their role and duties in the library and
an overview of summer events and programs within their respective departments.
Ms. Knight asked the Board to attend and help spread the word of these programs.
Board Member Hamilton inquired about the Senior Center's library inventory and Ms. Ciavaglia
confirmed that new books were added recently.

Ms. Knight gave an overview of the HEB Reads! Kickoff event that occurred last weekend.
Ms. Knight announced that Vice Chairperson Allan Gibbs resigned from the Board and that his
position would be filled next year.
Classes &Events Update
These items were covered during earlier discussions. Ms. Knight displayed and answered
questions regarding the statistical report.
ITEM NO. 5 REPORTS
Library Board Chairperson
Chairperson Snitz commented that the drive-thru style events, like the HEB Reads! Kickoff, tend
to be very positive and successful.
Library Board Vice-Chairperson
Vice Chairperson Gibbs was not present.
Library Board Members
Board Member McGehee mentioned that he did some work on the reading program and mentioned
how much he enjoyed it and suggested for others to do the same.
Board Member McGehee inquired about the need to elect a new Vice Chairperson and Ms.Knight
stated that Chairperson Snitz would need to make that call. Chairperson Snitz asked the Board to
reflect on it and he will follow-up on their responses at the next Board meeting.
ITEM NO. 7 PUBLIC COMMENTS
No visitors present.
ITEM NO. 8 ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Snitz asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Board Member
Hamilton and seconded by Board Member McGehee. The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
