MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE
LIBRARY BOARD
THURSDAY, JUNE 3, 2021
ITEM NO. I CALLED TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Euless Library Board was called to order by Chairperson Snitz at 7:03
p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021, in the Meeting Room of the Library, 201 N. Ector Drive. Those
present included Chairperson Barney Snitz, Board Members Jorge Chac, and Jim Hamilton. Board
Members Chris McAllister, Rochelle Ragas, Mavy Wright, and Mike McGehee were not present.
The chairperson noted the absence of a quorum.

ITEM NO.2 APPROVED LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
Minutes tabled until a quorum can be reached at a future meeting.
ITEM NO.3 WELCOMED VISITORS
Chairperson Snitz welcomed all visitors.
ITEM NO. 4 PRESENTED LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
❖ Staff Spotlight
Ms. Knight introduced Library Aide, Rebekah Wolff. Ms. Wolff spoke about her past experiences
and gave an overview of her present duties at the library and future plans to remain in library
service.
Ms. Portugal inquired about Ms. Wolff s future plans with her bachelor's degree and Ms. Wolff
stated her intent to to be a research librarian.
❖ Library Update
Ms. Knight gave an overview of the first week of in -person programs and mentioned how the size
of the audience was big but manageable and has been a very successful start.

Ms. Knight gave an overview of upcoming events including "Saturday Summer Sessions,"
"Podcast Brunch Club," and "Books and Bites," as well as a quick summary of the youth programs.
Board Member Chac inquired about COVID restrictions in place and Ms. Knight stated that we
ceased requiring all social distancing and mask requirements with the government's latest update.
Board Member Chac inquired about any complaints and Ms. Knight stated that there hadn't been
any.
ITEM NO.5 REPORTS
Library Board Chairperson
Chairperson Snitz recommended Board Member Hamilton as the next Vice Chairman and Board
Member Chac agreed.

ITEM NO.7 PUBLIC COMMENTS
Ms. Portugal noted the number of patrons wearing masks inside the library.
ITEM NO. 8 ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Snitz asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Board Member
Hamilton and seconded by Board Member Chac. The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
