HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-1114 11-27-2001RESOLUTION NO. 01-1114 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF EULESS TO PURSUE COLLABORATIVE VICTIMS' ASSISTANCE DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING THROUGH THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR A CRIME VICTIM LIAISON POSITION. WHEREAS, the City Council of Euless, Texas, desires to pursue Victims' Assistance Discretionary Grant (VADG) funding through the Office of the Attorney General to enable the cities of Bedford, Euless and Hurst to hire a Crime Victims Liaison; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Euless, Texas, recognizes a need for a Crime Victims Liaison; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Euless, Texas, recognizes that the City of Euless is liable for any misuse or loss of VADG funds. Should loss or misuse of funds occur, the City would return all funds (in full) to the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, hereby authorizes the City Manager to pursue collaborative grant funding with the cities of Bedford, Euless and Hurst through the Office of the Attorney General for a Crime Victims Liaison position to be shared among the three cities. PASSED AND APPROVED on this the 27th day of November, 2001, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
